I just installed Windows Vista Beta 2. Why does the Display Settings window keep appearing on startup of windows? I don't have the 'restore previous folder at windows logon' setting turned on.

Display settings Window opening on startup
I had this same problem after installing the latest nVidia drivers. I solved it by going to the Control Panel and opening the icon labeled "Additional Options". That gives the option to open the NVIDIA Control Panel. Inside the NVIDIA Control Panel I clicked on the icon labeled "Display". Then click on "change display configuration". In this screen I moved the selection from "the same on both displayes (clone)" to "Only use one display(Single)". This fixed the problem for me. Of course this may only work if you have a NVIDIA graphics card and are not using two monitors. At least it's something to check on.
